This milestone event is dedicated to raising critical funds for GO ART!’s new arts and cultural center, GO BARN!, planned for the Orleans County Fairgrounds.
This evening is not about restoring the Hawleys’ barn—it’s about building GO BARN!, a transformative cultural space that will empower the next generation of creators, innovators, and community leaders in Western New York.

Step into the limelight with our large 1920s-themed photo booth, constructed to resemble a vintage magazine cover—where you’ll be the star on the front page! Capture timeless memories and show off your roaring style.
🎨 Live Art Auction
Bid on curated art pieces in an exciting live auction format, with starting bids at $50. For those unable to attend, sealed bids will be accepted in advance. Simply submit your maximum bid in a sealed envelope along with your credit card information, and a GO ART! representative will bid on your behalf up to your maximum amount. Art pieces will be on display at GO ART!’s Batavia location, Seymour Place, 201 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020, until January 31. They will also be available online at goart.org/wellsbarn.
🎁 Raffle Baskets
Drawings for themed raffle baskets will take place during the event. Tickets can be purchased at the event or in advance, and you do not need to be present to win. Baskets will be on display at the following locations:
● Orleans County Cornell Cooperative Extension (Orleans County Fairgrounds): March 3-14, Mon-Fri 8:30 AM – 4 PM.
● GO ART! Batavia Location (Seymour Place): March 15-28, Wed and Thu 11 AM – 9 PM, Fri 11 AM – 11 PM, Sat 7 AM – 11 PM.
🎩 Dapper Dress Encouraged
Channel your inner flapper or dashing Gatsby and join us in period attire to complete the ambiance of this enchanting evening.
The Cause:
Proceeds from this special evening will support GO ART!’s GO BARN! Project, a dynamic cultural center planned for the Orleans County Fairgrounds. Offering workshops in arts, agriculture, and entrepreneurship, GO BARN! will empower the next generation of creators, innovators, and community leaders.
The Goal:
We need to raise $148,600 by March 29, 2025, to fund initial designs and programming development for GO BARN! Your attendance and generosity will help turn this vision into reality.

It was officially opened with a performance by what would later become the Genesee Symphony Orchestra—a connection we’re thrilled to honor as the orchestra returns to perform during this special evening. With its rich history of agricultural innovation, the Wells Barn now becomes a stage for creativity, community, and cultural impact.
