The Oliver Gallery features the vibrant, atmospheric paintings of Skylar Sharpe, an emerging artist from Byron, NY. Sharpe’s work explores the tension and harmony between abstraction and representation, pairing expressive landscapes with detailed florals and bold graphic patterns.
Artist Background
Sharpe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Roberts Wesleyan University, where she developed her artistic voice and deepened her love of the creative process. She has exhibited in numerous arts and craft shows throughout the region. Her paintings begin with washes of color that evolve into layered compositions, reflecting the fleeting, everchanging qualities of the natural world.
