Teen Animation Workshop

We will be hosting a FREE teen (ages 12-16) Animation 101 Workshop (using ProCreate) at the Hoag Library (134 S Main St Albion, NY 14411) Saturday mornings from 10am – 2pm. (September 30, October 7, 21 & 28). If you are interested in registering your teen please email Jodi (jfisher@goart.org) to reserve a spot as spots are limited

Saturday Morning Brick Builders Club

Join us for 2, 4 week Saturday Brick Builder sessions.  Session one runs from September 9-30.  Session two runs from October 7-28.  Each week there will be a different task for the builders to try and accomplish if they would like (not required).  

Kids Club

The Explore Arts Kids’ Club takes place Saturday mornings, in 4-week sessions throughout the school year. Each Saturday the program focuses on a different discipline including culinary arts, visual arts, performing arts, and literary arts, allowing participants an in-depth hands-on learning experience, with a focus on the introduction of cultural practices, various art movements, and self-expression. (All supplies provided. Scholarships are available! Please call 585.343.9313 for more information.)

Creative Art Camp

GO ART!’s Creative Arts Camps are tailored to students in grades K-6. Grade school students will create and maintain positive connections while enjoying hands-on exploration of various disciplines including culinary arts, visual arts, performing arts, and literary arts. Participants will build upon problem solving and critical thinking skills, while increasing their knowledge about different mediums and forms of art in a safe, inclusive, and structured environment. In the past we have done visual arts projects while learning about famous artists and art movements, created puppets and put on plays, played in the musical garden, learned about different styles of dance, as well as various arts and crafts projects.

Vincent Pastore received his Bachelor degree in violin performance from the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Music. He studied violin under Renato Banacini. He is currently a private violin instructor and taught at Roxy’s Music Store for five years. Also, he has played with different orchestras as well as performing with various Rock, Folk ,Bluegrass and Country music groups.

Preschool Programs

Join us as GO ART! offers music and motion classes to children ages 2 through 5, alongside their parent or favorite person. Classes will meet on Tuesday evenings for 45 minutes.

About the class:

We will focus on seasonal song, play, motor and locomotor movement, instrumental exploration, vocal and rhythmic call and response, listening activities, story time, and fun! Curriculum is designed to engage young learners through play and exploration, while providing a safe and nurturing space for them to discover and grow important skills, such as language, cognition, and physical development, as well as support and encourage social and emotional learning. We are so excited to provide this opportunity and instill a love of music and the arts in our youngest community members!

About the teacher:

Maggie Warren holds a bachelor’s and Masters degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and Roberts Wesleyan College, respectively. She has thirteen years of teaching experience at the in the elementary general music classroom, as well as multiple levels of choral conducting experience. Maggie has earned to Orff-Schulwerk Level Certifications through the Eastman School of Music and has actively been a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA), and the Greater Rochester American Orff-Schulwerk Association (GRAOSA). She currently teaches private piano and voice lessons in her home studio in Batavia, NY.
