Finding My Way: A Journey of Creativity & Inspiration
In this exhibition collection, the use of space was both thoughtful and intentional. Mary’s goal was to give the viewer an opportunity to exhale and embrace the stillness of the present moment, to explore the organic emotions beyond one’s initial reaction, and to cherish the peace of being fully engaged in this process.
Biography
As a self-taught contemporary artist, Mary Beth Kushner is recognized for her diverse use of acrylics, inks, and other media, and for selectively incorporating aerosol to create depth. Painting allows her to truly live in the moment.
With over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Mary Beth is inspired by human connections and the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Over the past several years, she has had to repeatedly draw upon her inner fortitude to adapt to life-altering illnesses.
Since leaving the healthcare field, Mary Beth continues to work closely with people from all walks of life as a self-employed interior and exterior painter.
Mary Beth has not only discovered a truly enjoyable second career, but has also recently reconnected with her love of painting after more than a decade away from the art world, at her last juried art exhibition. Through her art, Mary seeks to evoke emotion and allow for reflection, creating pieces that resonate deeply with diverse audiences.
