He is also an ordained minister and is dually certified through the American Baptist and United Church of Christ Denominations. He is currently serving as a part-time pastor at the Morganville United Church of Christ. Throughout his life he has tried to learn from others as we share this journey together. “My interest in the arts goes back to my early childhood when I first took painting lessons. I’ve always drawn and began writing as I got older. I have no formal education in poetry, but expressing myself in that way has just grown as I experienced life. I am self-taught in wood carving and look for opportunities to share my gift with others. Recently I completed a class on stained glass and have begun experimenting with that medium as well. Any form of art, to me, is a spiritual experience. ” ~ Jim
*a portion of the proceeds from the sales of his book will go towards acquiring a monument for the Paupers grave at the Historic Batavia Cemetery on Harvester Ave.
