GREGORY A. HALLOCK

Executive Director

Gregory holds an M.A. in Arts Management from the University at Buffalo, a B.S. from SUNY Brockport in Theatre with an acting concentration and minor in dance, and an A.A. from Genesee Community College in Theatre Arts.Having a background in arts and cultural studies, Gregory has traveled to and studied in Italy, The Netherlands, England, The Philippines, Japan, and Singapore. In Singapore he was part of the Theatre Training & Research Programme, “The Arts and Cultural Identity in a Borderless World,” which focused on current issues of international arts management such as international models of arts funding, public policy making, and performance & visual arts.

KAREN CANNING

Director of GLOW Traditions

Karen holds an M.A. in Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University, where her research focused on Mexican indigenous music and American traditional dance and music. Canning’s work in western New York includes traditional American music genres; ethnic music, dance, and arts (Hispanic, Italian, Polish); artists’ residencies; world dance traditions; foodways; Native American arts; occupational folklore; rodeo arts; and rural-based arts.

MARY JO WHITMAN

Education/SCR Coordinator

She earned a MA in Critical Museum Studies from the University of Buffalo. Graduating from SUNY Brockport summa cum laude, she holds a BA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Sculpture and a minor in Art History. She also has an AAS in Fine Arts from Genesee Community College. Prior to accepting the position at GO ART! Mary Jo was the Art Gallery Coordinator for the Rosalie “Roz” Steiner Art Gallery at Genesee Community College.

JODI FISHER

Administrative Assistant

JODI FISHER is the Administrative Assistant at GO ART! Jodi has a MS from the University at Buffalo with a Professional Business Management Certificate. Jodi had the opportunity to live in France for a year while she was 14 years old. While she was there she enjoyed traveling around Europe and emerging herself in the history, arts and culture. Jodi enjoys visiting museums, art galleries, art shows, writing poetry, spending time outdoors and spending time with her family.
