at the corner of Richmond Avenue and State Street
in Batavia, New York

All-day musical entertainment, arts and crafts show, food vendors, children's activities, folk arts performances and demonstrations and more!

Directions:
Centennial Park is located in the City of Batavia
(Exit 48 off I-90). After exiting, turn LEFT onto Route 98 South. At the next light, make a LEFT onto Richmond Avenue. The park is located between Richmond St, State St, Park St, and Ellicott Avenue. Parking is on the side streets.

2008 "Picnic in the Park" Schedule:

Main Stage Entertainment

Noon -Batavia Concert Band
A Picnic fave - Sousa-style marches & big band numbers.

Genesee Chorale "Serenade in the Shade"
on our Main Stage!

1:30pm & 3:15pm  - The Bedrock Boys*
Polkas, waltzes, obereks, and fun danceable music from the kings of Polish-American music!

2:45pm - All Night Ramblers Cajun Band*
Fire up your feet & warm your soul with hard-driving two-steps & soulful waltzes.

4:00pm - LOST TIME*
Bringing bluegrass to the green grass of Centennial Park, Lost Time combines traditional instruments with stirring vocals.


Stage II

 Noon - 4pm - Greta Garbage brings her wacky, entertaining look at "trash" by using puppets, stories, magic, and humor!
Flash-in-the-Pan provides comedy blended with a splash of vaudeville. Juggling, unicycle tricks, and much much more!
Brandi Bruggman presents "Disposable Trash-ion" Show - models stroll the park after the show so you can see their recycled clothes up close!

Explore Art Tent

The Explore Art Tent features DIRTY HAIRY! Deisgn a "person" on a paper cup...fill it with soil...plant some grass seeds to create "hair". You'll have FUN once it's grown...give Dirty Hairy a mohawk, or let it grown long and wild! It's up to you!
